Murray has an MA in New Testament from Talbot School of Theology and a PhD in biblical studies from Asbury Theological Seminary. Prior to entering seminary, Murray worked as a mechanical engineer in the space industry. He has held adjunct faculty positions at Biola University, Hope International University, Asbury Theological Seminary, and Wesley Seminary. He currently lives in Indiana with his lovely wife and two sons. The following are some of his academic publications:
